GVA Grimley’s Environmental Services Team has won a nationwide, three-year strategic contract with the Environment Agency to provide detailed environmental due diligence reports and advice.
The Environment Agency, which has property assets of 100 offices totalling 125,000 sq. m and 150 depots totalling 50,000 sq m has established a National Accommodation Programme (NAP) to improve offices and locations and reduce office space by 40% by 2012 as well as rationalising depot locations and numbers.
GVA Grimley’s Environmental Services Team will be responsible for providing detailed environmental due diligence reports and advice to the Environment Agency during the disposal process to enable environmental risk transfer by satisfying the 'Sold with Information Exclusion Test' set out in the Contaminated Land Regulations 2000.
The primary aim of the environmental reviews is to obtain sufficient data to dispose of selected sites with appropriate environmental information.
