GVA GRIMLEY APPOINTS EXPERIENCED NEW HEAD OF VALUATION SERVICES

Tim Crossley-Smith BSc MRICS, has been appointed as the new national Head of Valuation Services at GVA Grimley, based in its Stratton Street London office. He takes over from David Newall who moves across to head up the company’s Corporate Recovery team in Manchester.

Tim inherits a strong team of just under 160 people throughout the UK. He will be reporting to GVA Grimley Chairman Steve Halbert.

Tim previously moved from CB Richard Ellis in 2006 and has worked for GVA Grimley since. He boasts a strong valuation background with 25 years experience in the commercial property sector having acted for the leading financial institutions, property companies and corporate owners.

Tim was previously a member of the Appraisal and Valuation Standards Committee of the RICS, responsible for drafting the “Red Book”, and has advised the Government on the development of a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in valuation.

Tim’s Valuation Services division undertakes all types of real estate valuations including secured lending, public sector, licensed and leisure facilities and compulsory purchase. 

Steve Halbert, Chairman of GVA Grimley comments: “We’re delighted Tim has accepted the role of Head of Valuation Services.
